I have been looking over the forums and the available documentation but not having much luck on setup/walkthrough for setting up a TWGS. Heh, the help for TWGS is in the old Windows Help format which I can't access on my vista systems , so I am trying to find it on-line somewhere.

Any pointers would be appreciated

I haven't tried TWGS on Vista yet.
Have you installed the program yet, and need help configuring it, or do you need help with the install?

Thanks for the idea. Since I am making flash tutorials on the game itself, I will begin making a section for the new SysOp outlining how to install/configure/etc.

I thought we had something in the forums for stepping throuth the TWGS setup? I will have to look through things again. If it is missing we can remake it, no problems.

Yeah but there is nothing like a nice flash tutorial.

I just went through the install feature, and got refreshed on what a pain it can be for twgs to accept the registration codes.  I finally figured out  entering them by hand won't work.  You need to cut and paste the codes to get it to accept registration.

I'll make certain I add that to my tutorial. That seems to be a common problem for most. Thanks for the reminder.

I had run TWGS on Vista for about two months, worked fine. I only changed because I went to a hosted server running Windows Server 2003.

I just entered my codes by hand w/o any problem. I would have cut and pasted them, but my codes were on a standalone computer and wasting a CD for the reg codes seemed a waste.

I think it depends on the codes you have. For some reason twgs won't accept some codes typed in by hand. I'm not sure if it has to do with the characters used in that specific code or what. I've ran into this multiple times over the years, and still haven't narrowed it down to the exact cause.
