I have been running into an intermittent issue with the players not being able to connect to my server. I use rivercitytw.dlinkddns.com 2002 and can connect while on the same wireless router. I am not a network person by any stretch so what I am assuming by connecting to the "named" connection rather than the ip addy that anyone should be able to connect may not be correct.

If someone could try a connect to the server and let me know if they can connect I would appreciate it. I just updated the wireless router firmware (server is CAT5 to the router) so I am hoping that this may correct the issue.

I have an intermittent issue with that as well... I am not sure, but I think for mine it is caused by the IP forwarding. Sometimes it takes longer than anticipated to resolve the host, etc.

If you go into the admin of your router you can pull up it's status. One of the things that the status page will tell you is your routers current IP address given to you by your ISP. If your IP address is not the same as what your name resolves to then no one can get to your server.

As a note, pinging the named address gives me a request timeout. This could be because you are blocking ping requests.
