Purchasing TWGS et al
Tried of the games only running three minutes, I've decided to purchase TWGS.
I reviewed the options and I think I only need 4 nodes ... but which package to buy? They aren't described very well. I want every possible feature TW has to offer. I assume that means I want the TWGS Lite/TW Gold.
Is that right?
Thanks guys!

For only 4 nodes yes that is the package you need. Just a note of advice, for the price dif, I'd go ahead and buy the the full twgs package. You'll end up needing more than 4 nodes when it's all said and done.

I know ... I was thinking the same thing about the price difference.
When you say "You'll end up needing more than 4 nodes" ... what do you mean?

When you say "You'll end up needing more than 4 nodes" ... what do you mean? i would think he means that if you really like the game you will want to be able to have more then 4 active nodes at a time.

Yeah if you ever want to open up a public or even a private large game you will need more then 4 nodes, you could only have 4 players on your twgs at any one time.

OH!
So "nodes" is the number of available connections ... I thought is was the number of games.
Right?

Right? Yes you need 1 available node for every player that wants to log into your twgs.

Right? Correct. 4 nodes means only 4 players can connect. That ALSO includes if you needed to login via admin port. If all 4 nodes are used, and you wanted to login via admin, you can't. If you can afford it, it is better to reg the 100 node. Down the road you may get involved with scripting and having some sysop scripts to further enhance your games like some of us SysOps do now. For example, whether public or private TWGS, you might want a script to open your games, or another one to login and collect/post scores or other data on a website. You are pretty restricted on a 4 node.
