Static Address's
New to the Server World. I have a game server set up with around 10 different games. I want to post but do not have a Static IP address although my dynamic address hasn't changed in months now. Probably as soon as I post the server , It WILL change. Not quite sure what to do and am just trying to get a feel as to what everone else out there is doing and what is the best way to handle this. Dynamic Server Sites (If so what is a good service site) or Pay for a Static address???

Re: Static Address's
I use to use a free dyn redirect service .. but over the years I have found it overall easyer and better to just pay a few $$ extra per month to get a static number.

Re: Static Address's
I use namecheap. They're a domain registrar that offers domain-specific dynamic DNS as part of their standard package. While navhaz.com always point to the website server, twgs.navhaz.com is a dynamic DNS that points where-ever my last update told it to point. I use TWGS's scheduler to run an update script every hour to keep the server's IP up to date with the DNS entry (I have it set to run at X:30, so as not to interfere with extern). The cost for that is simply the $10/year registration fee, so there's no additional cost for the dyndns.
