Hey everyone. I've just recently registered to be a new host, am just awaiting to hear back about my license information (hopefully soon).

I want to create a game or two, each unique from each other and wanted some feedback from you to for ideas on what you would like to see in a game. I find many of the games I join are hard to get started in because they're well established so I was thinking perhaps a short game (30-days) and a race to the top. Perhaps a traditional game of TW thrown in there and maybe a builders game.

What does the community think, or what would you like to see a new host have for offerings? All ideas are welcome!

Well no replies to my question, but I'm online now. Classic game and a builders game is up and running. New and old players are welcome! mx1.advancedt.com, port 23! I'm taking requests for custom games if anyone is interested

I jumped in just to check out the games. When I log in to a
server for the first time, I am either looking for a relatively low
turn game, 1500 or less, and ideally classic MBBS. (with megarob)
OR
An unlimited turn game that's not too old, or that's extremely old and
unattended. An unlim can be a blast if there is some equal competition.
Basically it turns into a deathmatch...emphasis on speed.

The two games you have both have move/attack delay set to Third (1/3 s/t)
which is a little slow for me for the low turn game, but is a game killer
for me if it's unlimited turns.
Another thing is your production rates, 5% on game A is kinda low for
even a 250 turn game.

My two cents.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm looking at adding an unlimited turn game for those who are interested. Let me know the specifics that you would like to see in the unlimited game and I will get it underway.

You may also get twx proxy 2.04 or higher , then get
SO_PreGameScripts.zip
from the thread TWGS Tools

This will help you set games more to player likings
right out of the box.
Do not forget to turn off the internal aliens
when you bang a game , they are pretty useless.

Check for TWA's of edits in this forum.
Your players may suggest some that are popular
then run some of the scripts in that script pack
to make the games more to the players likings and
DO NOT TEDIT after you bang and open a game.

TEDITing a runing open game is a game killer
and can get your server marked by players
as a cheat server , unless you state that you edit
on the fly .. in which case most players would avoid playing there
in the first place or after they found out about it.

Just my thoughts and opinions as well as a few other SysOps
thoughts that will keep your players happy.

And to ensure players can find you :
Put your server address in your signature as well as
registering your server at http://www.microblaster.net/Servers.aspx
