i've searched through pages and posts to try to find out how, but no luck. I'm trying to host a game for a few family members that all play, but I have no idea how to get my server to where they can play it too. if anyone could help i would appreciate it :)

A couple of things, you need to know your IP address and give that to them, or buy a domain or do like I do is use no-ip.biz for a free domain. (You have to verify every 30 days.)

Find out how to edit the settings in your router. Each is different but similar. Use the "Help" features that come with your's. Basically you'll just have to open ports 23 and 2003 in Telnet. (23 for players, 2003 for remote admin.)
Some routers also have "gaming mode" check that out. Make certain you change the admin password.

Re the router settings: you want to find the Port-Forwarding page to tell the firewall what to do with incoming connections in port 23,2002, or whatever. I haven't done it in a long time so forgive me if I'm a tad off.
