when i invade should i be using the ship in the game that holds the most figs to drain the qcannons? thnx for the help.

It varies, depending on what you have to what the Qcannnon is set too, explain more..

well...i dont know what the guy has his qcannon set on..if i knew that id be on the planet already wouldnt i? or is there a way to find that out? i know that the max ore available is 2mill, but i dont know how much is on the planet.

Well if its below level 5 you can ptorp into the sector and use a planet scanner to see what he has for fighters and atmospheric cannon settings. Then you can max out the biggest ship and see if you live through the sector cannon and you can figure out the cannon settings and fuel on the planet from the blasts you take. If its at least level 5 then your pretty much left with the second part especially if someone actually put shields on it.

Is there a more subtle way than photoning? Also, I don't see <<shielded>> in the other sector under holoscan..that means its under level 5 right?

Yes, its under level 5 if you dont see shielded. As for subtle, if you invade you kinda give up the opportunity to be subtle. Either way they see what you did to take their planets.
