I always thought if you put fighters in a sector that had a port. The fighters would be removed during the next maintance cycle.

Anyways...one of my users came across the Ferrengi sector and built a port. I discovered the sector with long range scanners and decided to check it out the other night. After midnight I logged in and decided to take a trip to that sector to see what was going on.

Maintance had been run, but there were still Ferrengi fighters in the sector. I always thought the game removed fighters from sectors with a port in them.

Only in the Major Space Lanes do the Feds remove figs. Someone correct me if I am wrong on this.

I have left figs on ports and they stayed there as long as it wasn't a MSL. Ferrengi usually attack sector figs and leave figs of their own.

fighters in the major space lanes (check other threads for defination of that) are removed at extern each night. These are removed whether there is a port there or not. Other fighters are never removed by the game.
