 a few questions for reds

hey, i was wondering at what point will sd attack reds? or even will it? is it when youir alignment gets under a certain amount? also, what would you say is the best money making tactic for a solo red in a 6k turn game? thanks..

Star dock will not attack Red players. Once you are red you are not safe from attack from other players in the game at sd or anywhere for that matter. If you are a blue player you are not safe at sd or fed space once your experience is over 1000 points. as far as money making goes if it is a game that busts are cleared in every day and planetary trade values are good I would sdt, if bust dont clear for a few days your better off sst ing . then if it is mbbs and you get a level 4 planet you can buy down all the product from a sss maxed out port and then sell the product to a maxed bbb port then megga rob your cash back from the sss port. make sure you use worst price haggle when you buy down the sss port. when you megga rob a port you can rob all the cash there plus 11% no matter what your exp. level.

For mega-robbing - you can only steal a range of 3.3 million to 6.5 million (I'm not sure on the exact numbers, could someone supply them?)

Also note that megga-rob works in mbbs version games only, right? I'd recommend looking at tw-cabal's economics page and tailoring one of the methods to fit your needs. Here's a question for those of you that may know. If you change your name in the underground, will you fake bust at a port you busted at?

Those numbers are so close to the mark, that you won't make any more money by trying to get it down to the credit. Since you will be robbing back every credit you put into the port, the real money is made when you sell the free equipment a good buy port. All you care about is that after you use 131 turns buying down the eq, that there is between 3.3 and 6.5 MCr on the port. It's easier if you find a port that sells high, so you don't have to waste turns buying organics or fuel to get it to the 3.3 mark.

It's more cost effective in the long run to find and upgrade a port that sells high, so you can get the 3.3+ million on it by ONLY buying EQ, than it is to use any old port and then get stuck buying organics or fuel to do the final topping off. If you have 1000 turns, you should be able to get 7 Megga-robs in per day per red. At the right buy ports, that translates to just over 34 million creds.

To add a little.
When setting up for MBBS Mega Robs
Use xxS ports that offer an initial sell of 14k for 250 holds of equip. If it's under that you may have trouble puttig the 3.3 mil on the port. Then find some xxB ports that offer 34k and higher for buying. In my last game of 1200 turns I was able to do 9 port pairs per day with 3 turns left over for profit of 40+ mil [:D]
132 turns for cycle w/rob*9=1188 + 9 turns for sell= 1197
