I may just be getting old but...

Doses anyone else remember when the game had the Corporate Star Ship and the Imperial Flag Ship? At the time the unregistered version was playable but you only had the Scout Marauder, and the Merchant Cruiser to play with. My friends and I played on 3 or 4 different boards, mostly WWIV boards, with this version. At the time Food Fight and Pool Sharks were also very popular. What version was that?

Now that I think about it, it must have beeen somewhere in the '88-'90 time frame. Heck I could even tell ya the name of some of the BBS's.

If I remember correctly it was the TW2002 1.X or 0.9X versions. My memory is a bit fuzzy from those days. Back before alien ships were attackable or something.

It was somewhere between 0.95 and 0.98 when TW2002 was making the transition from being a WWIV-only door to a generic BBS door and had gone from 7 ship types to 15. I've got 0.98 (Dec. 1990) sitting on a CD somewhere.
