But if they have a tradeable ISS you can trade it, xport out of it, and leave it in the sector without getting killed, right? As soon as you try to move an ISS and you aren't comissioned, Zyrian gets you. Or does it count leaving a planet as a move?

Interesting to me and maybe to everyone here, An incident came up in HHT. Here are some Discusion from another Forum, may help. I took it from a couple post on the discusion. It's a little choppy but I think you will get the idea, about SECTOR ENTRY EVENTS. The Ship was not an ISS But had an experience level Flag.

ISS or not ISS, Zyrain will still repo it if you're under the required exp

"Allow players to swap ships" (TEDIT Gold Editor 1, Settings, Option
<N>)
was not off by default as it is with the normal ISS-class ship. And since it seems to have been forgotten about by the game's editor... Yes, that's right, the ISS can be swapped.
Nothing was forgotten. King ships are not Imperial StarShips. Swapping in citadels was intentional.

Yea "Repo" but he doesnt kill u, he just takes it back lol
You will loose it (possibly) when you create a new sector entry event..
Those events are (and there are probably more but anyhow)
When you log in and lift
When you move to another sector
When your IG'd and pulled back into a sector
When you ZDY a planet
When you Beam from the citadel to another sector
There is a bug with the exp level ships, when capnz takes ur ship then you
dont get #sd# (even if the ship has no pod, and I think it's the same if you
have done used 2 pods for the day (dont quote) )
a "non" sector entry event would be you logging in, lifting in a safe ship,
landing, then exchanging and lifting, This is the 2nt year running that the
"blue non fedsafe" ship has been allowed to do this, HHT's edit of it last
year was verry interesting and you had some great chances to allow your
reds to cash in it.. Anyhow..

Back to the topic-
One tatic that wasn't brought up, is to drain the cannon by moth method (explained above and in other forums/sites) Then use a scout maurader to destroy the shields/fighters on said planet (stock game) Even tho it only gives you .5 offense better than an ISS, it will save you alot of fighters in the long run.
btw, demon..
He asked how to destroy the shields
he didn't ask for tactics..
to destroy shields, you push A.
Now get off my back monkey.

Just a quick note on sitting at the planet prompt. Had a game where I was seriously outclassed.....think that's all of them, but anyway sat there talking crap to the guy who was taking my stuff when he landed then ported my planet back to his bubble. He's the one that taught me to never keep all of you figs in your door. Should keep a good amount in the back as well as shield just about everything you've got. I managed to capture 20 planets after he logged off feeling proud of taking my one. Just sat at the planet prompt and waited.

Figs have better odds on a planet than in a sector. Plus if someone ptorps the sector, your sector figs are useless anyway.
I usually keep enough figs in the sector to keep aliens out, and enough to twarp planets and ships there. About 5K to 10K is good enough sometimes 15K is my max limit. You should have a qcannon to blast aliens that get into your sector and mines to finish them off.
Darn Ferrengi keep entering my sectors 80 times an hour and not attacking the figs there. Which causes a big mail log when I log in. If they do that in a game when I am online, I drop a planet on them and qcannon them to bits. Ore is cheap, and when you are red you can rob the credits back. In a MBBS game if I have a blue on my corp, they can buydown a port for ptrading and include ore. Just don't sell the ore. Then I can megarob the credits back for free products. Fill the planets up to their max ore, and then get ready to drop a planet on the next Ferrengi who dares cross paths with one of our figs.
But impress that next invader, buydown all the ore you can to your planets. Have it deal mega damage to them. Watch as their nice combat ship goes up in a fireball as it gets dealt 150K damage. Unless they were smart enough to moth your planet first with cheap ships that have lots of shields.

In regards to the aforementioned exchanging of ships. I don't really understand how you all are saying you can have anyone exchange ships with a comishion required ship, or ceo required ship, perhaps exp (never tested that one). Because last time i checked (which was tonight) when you exit the game on a planet in say, a ISS , your only option is remain, it auto-matically locks your ship. No one, not even your own corpies with commishions can exchange ships with you, in this ISS expample for instance. Perhaps its a twgs setting, and if so i appologize, but if what is being said is its just a normal setting i've never seen this.
However, i have had some problems, where i've been running a two person gridder ship, with a piggybacker who's afk on the planet to in a "bigger ship w/photon" , while i'm gridding. And there ship will show as locked even tho it has no restrictions on it whatsoever, and while there online. Not sure why that is. Any ideas?

Well I will try and answer you if I am wrong someone correct me plz. There is a setting in the TWGS, it is sysop configurable in Gold settings I beleive, to toggle exchange ship with players. if this is toggled to yes only then can you exchange, not all games will have this setting, default settings would be no on ISS.
on your second question I dont know.

Yeh (as long as you didnt relog while on planet) but dont forget to CLAIM the ship as personal or corp after you exchange, You can ALSO exchange with someone, say leave them in a twapr ship and then track them as long as they dont claim the ship.. so remember to claim your ships..
