I am not really sure what happened. I was on a planet of mine, the sector was attacked and conquered, and when I logged on I was in a sector owned by my attacker. Is it possible for him to pod me, then tow my pod to his sector, where I am trapped because of his planet interdictor.
No, he couldn't tow your pod, but if you are in a new sector, it's possible he moved the planet you were on before evicting you. Then he could kill you and keep your pod in the sector with his planet. If you try to move and the IC holds you, but nothing kills you, just keep tyring to move, every time, you drain 500 ore from his planet, you can drain his planet completely of ore.

As a matter of fact, any player can tow any other player that does not have a single fig on their ship.

DRAIN IT DRAIN IT .. When he looses 1 mil ore for being really really STOOPID then you can land on the planet in virtually any ship! ..
No he cant pod (I ment tow) you unless your ship had 0 figs on it when he evicted you .. or unless he exchanged ships iwth you for one that had no figs and then evicted you .. either way you should have full messages of it all ..

That is true, but unless the pods in the game are edited to not hold figs, his pod will have 1 fig. You can not destroy that 1 fig without destroying the player, also.

Actually I beg to differ with both of you. Yes it is possible to take out one fig on an escape pod. I have done it before without blowing the escape pod. Secondly, yes you can tow an escape pod. As long as it does not have any figs on it you can tow it anywhere you want provided you have one of two things working for you. 1) you have enough turns to sector hop with the pod being towed behind to where ever you want to go and 2) you have enough fuel ore on your ship to make a jump into a sector with one of your figs in it. As far as q-cannons are concerned, if they have been set to 1% or more for sector, they will go off when the podded player logs on. Figs and mines will then go off. Most planets I have seen where they leave the interdictor generator is on but the Q-cannon is not on usually have close to a capacity of 2.5 to 10 million fuel ore with close to max units of fuel ore on the planet. Simply trying to move in a sector where there is a planet with 5 million units of fuel ore on it will take approximatly 10,001 attempts to completly drain the fuel ore off of the planet. At that point, who would try to land on the planet in an escape pod anyways. The Q-cannon level may be set for atmospheric level and even 1 point of damage would blow the pod. Secondly, the planet may have figs on it with the military level set at or above 5%. Either way, chances are, you will be killed. Better off to get into a new ship, load up on shields and figs, then try it.

you need to give J-Twat permission to access the internet .. with that said
You are wrong .. you cant take out 1 fig on a manned escape pod ..
you can take out 1 fig on a unmanned escape pod .. but the thread was not asking anything about unmanned ships
more than likely the player was pingged or evicted with 0 figs ..

If you're stuck in a pod and can't move, what else do you have to do? Even when you are out a turns, press m will make the IG fire, holding you. Once you drain the ore, you can move your pod whever you want. And if you do get killed trying, so what, you were in a pod over their planets, what other outcome do you expect?

If you are supposedly not able to take out one fig on a manned escape pod, then how have I been able to do it in the past? (ps, I dont lie about things I have done either).

I don't think you're lying, perhaps in a really old version it was possible, I didn't start playing until .39 was on servers. However, I don't believe it is possible now. If you feel like proving me wrong, telnet to terra.playtw.org and test it in one of the test games. Until you can send me a cap of it happening, I will still contend it can't.
