A little Detailed list on changing alignment:

1) Self Destruct (CBY)
The easiest way for a blue to drop alignment is to CBY (self destruct). A blue (positive aligned player) that CBY's will lose all experience and recieve -10 alignment. Evils that CBY will lose all their experience and 1/2 their alignment. This method usually is only used by blues when running a split corp where blue players need to remain under 2000 alignment so evils don't lose too much experience at extern.
(players on a split evil/good corp will lose experience points equal to 1/4 the alignment of the highest aligned blue corpie at extern).

2) Murdered on Stardock
The easiest way for an evil to get fedsafe in a hurry. This method will place the murdered player to 0 experience and 0 alignment. Anyone with 199 or less alignment can use this method. Simply enter the Stardock Underground and enter the wrong password until you are murdered (about 6 times of wrong password).
(you will be ship destroyed the same as if you did CBY).

3) Sector Fighters in Personal Mode
This can change alignment in any way desired, just watch how you set it up. Basically you have a high (or low) aligned corpie place fighters in a deadend sector in personal mode. Then simply attack the fighters. The alignment change is based on the fighters you use, not the fighters you destroy.

The formula for alignment change is as follows:
Same alignment corpies (both Blue or Both Red) you will change alignment in the opposit direction by .0001 times alignment of personal fighters.
Opposit alignment corpies (one blue and one red) you will change alignment in the same direction (if your evil attacking good fighters you go more evil); this change is by .0002 times alignment of personal fighters.

Example:
your good (blue) and attack good fighters of 250000align: 250000*.0001=25 you get -25 alignment per fighter used.
your evil (red) and attack good fighters of 250000align: 250000*.0002=50 you get -50 alignment per fighter used.

4) Player Attack/pod
Attack or pod another player (usually a corpie is willing to assist you on this if not a death limit game - but you and the other corpie must not be on corp together). Attack method only works if not on the same corp. Simply attack the player as to capture the ship. Each fighter used will give you same results as attacking personal sector fighters (listed in #3). Podding for alignment (positive or negative) You will recieve 10% of the players experience and 1/2 of their alignment. Person podded will lose 0 alignment and 10% of experience.

5) colonist attack
way number three is to attack colonist on a planet. This is costly though and not usually suggested in the beginning of games until planets and sectors are well established and you can afford to lose a few thousand colonists. Simply land and hit Z then A and follow along. I dont recall the exact amount of alignment loss per thousand colos/figs but it works well when you have the assets to blow.

6) Port attack
This isn't recommended as it fills logs, but it does work - but caution - ports can and will blow on you so be sure you have the fighters/shields to absorb the hit(s)

In this method, simply attack a port down to almost no rating, then just attack with 1 fighter to lose -5 alignment per attack. If you do this too fast, the port will blow - but if you do it slow and let the port build a small defense, you can lose a lot of alignment for the price of figs/sheilds.
