OK when attacking sector figs, I know that the alignment you lose is based on the opponents alignment (or corp alignment as it may be), and the number of figs you lose (not the number you kill, which I also find odd). Does anyone know the exact formula to figure this out? |

Shamelessly stolen from http://www.tw-cabal.com/formulas.html Exp = (# of Figs Lost) / 15 Align = ((Player or Corp Alignment) / 5000) * (# of Figs Lost) |

Shouldn't that be: Align = (-1 * (Player or Corp Alignment) / 5000) * (# of Figs Lost) That way if you attack Figs and the owner has positive alignment, you will get negative alignment. In Visual BASIC 6.0 or VBA: Function TWAlignFig(lFigsLost As Long, lEnemyAlign As Long) As Long TWAlignFig = CLng(-1 * (lEnemyAlign / 5000) * lFigsLost) End Function ? TWAlignFig(15000,20000) -60000 Losing 150000 figs attacking Corp figs with a Corp alignment of 20000 would make you get -60000 alignment change. If you had 10000 Alignment, you now have -50000 alignment and went red and better get out of that ISS. |

Not to get too picky about it, but it really says: "Amount of Alignment Lost/gained:" I felt it best to leave it up to the reader to figure out if it's negative or positive. However, i did notice an error on the page where I say exp instead of align. I will correct that shortly. |

Well I'll give you that. I like to tell the player what sort of alignment change they are in for, which will be the opposite of the enemy alignment. Hence the -1 thrown into the formula. Attack a red and gain blue alignment, attack a blue and gain red alignment. |
