I'm in this game and this guy vegeta comes in and starts talking. Read on and tell me if I've missed some huge TW secret or if this guy is full of S**T. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Vegeta Unlimited gost ships over and over and over, No one can stop an enless force like that!! Rofell You talking about a dupe mother? Vegeta I tested it on ships also, But it kills the target and my ship, still buggy Vegeta No dupes!!!! Rofell What is it? What endless force? Zandor Who wrote it? Deaths He says NO dupes Rofells and I am of course offering YOUR homesector for him to test it on Vegeta It doubbles your ship maxed!! And when the ship is killed it makes another. Vegeta I made the program!! Rofell Umm...you know you only get a certain amount of poddings a day, right? Vegeta Java Vegeta Its new program, Dosn't effect poddings Rofell So explain this to me step by step. Vegeta I wont give you the program steps themselfs, but.... Rofell Tell me what it does. Vegeta It makes a copy of whatever ship your currently in. Maxes the shields, fighters, and corb. Then moves into the sector and attacks. Rofell OK So you get podded. Then what? Deaths The copy gets podded not you Vegeta No because I'm not being killed Rofell How does it move it into the sector? Rofell There is no autopilot fo ships. Vegeta Each copy has its own reg number Rofell Are weeven talkng about Trade Wars? Vegeta The script and program makes tradewars think your opperating you own ship. Vegeta So who wants all their hard work killed in just a few min??? Rofell It doesnt' work that way...you have to be in the ship. i don't beleive this, but I'd liek to see it. Vegeta Its very fast...Killed 20 shielded planets in game H (Tunami's or how ever you spell it) Empire fell in just 20 nim. |

Maybe he exploited a bug in the game and wrote a script on it? I cannot see how he can create a copy of his ship and then move the ship without a player to the base sector. It seems to go beyond the rules of the TWGS game. How can a ship attack without a player in it, how can a player get podded without triggering the pod counter? Either it creates a dupe account and joins his corp and then quits after getting podded X times and then quits the corp for another dupe and buys ships using credits on a planet citidel, or it is a serious bug that needs fixing in the game. |

All that is what lead me to think he could be using a bug and to post here. What he SAYS his "program" (I assume he means script) does is it buy a ship liek the one you are in, and "tricks" the game into thinking you are in it and makes it fly into enemy base...which, as we have said, is impossible withing the limits of TW. He said no duping involved. But, to tell you the truth, there is another play at this place claiming to be Graz's husband, and we all know the original female Grazhoppa is now a non-player and that her husband uses the name Graz, so go figure. A board full of morons and liars. This is the same place Jhereg and friends had trouble with the sysop. |

Just gonna add my $.02 for what it is worth... I looooong time ago this was possible, like 1995 or earlier using a configurable addon to Tradewars. It was something you had to buy (sysop) but it would sell you robot ships to use as you wished. Obviously, this is not around anymore so brainiac may be thinking he knows some old vodoo or something to resurect it. When Harley says it can't be done, it can't.[|)] I suspect he even tries ways to do strange stuff like this if someone asks if it can be done... |

I was given "the procedure" for this tactic. I passed it on to Harley, who has more resources at hand to test it, and he was anuable to duplicate it, so liek you said...someone just wanted some attention I think. |

I didn't say 100% it couldn't be done (although I suspect as much). What I actually said to 100% certainy is the way the method was described to me, it could not be reproduced. |
