OK...so I'm talking to this guy named piyathor who says he's been playing TW for 11 years and that he has been a sysop for 8. He also talks about JP like he knows him. So anyway...this idiot says that using bugs isn't cheating. He says it's part of the game and "JP put it there." He also says if JP said using bugs is wrong, he'd tell JP that he was wrong. So JP, please post here your thought on bug use so I can link his dumb a** here. EDIT:If anyone asks me to, I will post the entire conversation. WARNING! You WILL LOSE BRAIN CELLS!!! |

All I will say is that sometimes you just have to laugh at pure insanity. |

Rest assured I did. [:D] He actually finally came around. I had to use some harsh words with him, but he learned. [}:)] |

LOL, good ol piyathor. I actually had the pleasure of having him in my corp for 1 game. I was trying to teach him. Oh those were the days. I do not know what type of reality he was living in, but I want some of whatever he was on. In case anyone didnt know I have been gone for a while. I am trying to catch up on my reading. I am going to start playing again, but not alot. Who knows I may even try to get in touch of some of the Rouge Horsemen and get them into some games. |

Once a "bug" has been brought to my attention, I will do everything I can to fix it. If the bug has been around for a very long time, and has become part of typical gameplay, assuming it doesn't unbalance the game too much, I may consider making it a "feature". An example of this was the Type II TransWarp Drive. The ability to tow a ship through TransWarp was a bug, but it was such a popular one, and in fact added something interesting to the game. So rather than remove it, we brought it under control and attempted to balance it within the game. So basically, bugs will either be fixed, or will be integrated in the game so that they're clearly no longer bugs. Anything else out there is a bug that has been successfully kept secret from the developer. |
