Sorry all for not being around the past couple of weeks, I have been in the hospital, I had a bad car wreck and cracked some ribs and tore open an old wound on my leg, as well as a mild concussion, so I had to stay in the hospital a while, mainly because I am on blood thinners and the doctors wanted to make sure I didn't have any internal bleeding, because the thinners I take makes it too easy for me to bleed to death.

Also they wanted to monitor the concussion a couple of days as well, and to keep me off my feet for the leg to try to heal, so they kept me in the hospital to try to let my leg and ribs heal some.

I am back now, although in some pain, but nothing I can't deal with. I get to start back to work Monday, on limited and light duty. But at least I get to go back to make an income to pay bills. I hate to see the bill for the hospital. Jeez.

Thanks all, I am usually a safe driver, but unfortunately I can't control the young drivers that think they can pass cars at 50 plus mph on a sharp mountain road curve, with no visibility of what is coming the other way.

I had to make a split decision at the moment, and chose to take my chances with the bank and drop off, cause in my 4wd if I hit them head on it would have killed them and possibly me as well. So I am glad of quick thinking and reflexes or things could have been much worse.

not yet, the driver of the car they passed got the tag number, and the police went to the house but the person wasn't home, and they are looking for them now, I will keep all posted when they get the person/s involved, then I can start my insurance company on getting their insurance company to pay for the mess, and take them to court on it.

And BTW, they finally caught the person who caused the accident, and he is in jail now, and my insurance company is working on getting what is due from him and his insurance company.

Now it is the waiting game for the replacement of funds and other things.

Good luck getting the insurance companies to act. My mom was in an accident last year (June 06) and still hasn't gotten paid. Keep the pressure on them.
