I hope this is in the correct forum, if not I apologize.
One of the boards I play on, a conversation started about JP making some modifications and updates to TW2002. Here are some of the idea that other users had in so specific order.

Ram ship option. Each ship has so much damage it can do.

If a ship gets destroyed it's corbo’s effect everything in the sector

If a ship self destructs other ships in sector get damaged depending on ships fighters, and corbo level.

Planet being able to Warp product between 2 planets using a planet teleport Type 2

Shoot limpet at ships as they pass through the same sector.

Ships that only Red players can use.

Red players being able to buy Federation Beacon codes from the underground that would allow them to jump to Dock or Fed Space, for a set amount of time.

Red Star Dock, where blues are not safe, and only sells red ships.

These are not my ideas just passing along the ones that most thought were good suggestions. Keep the game alive :)

If you are interested in a "Red Star Dock" look in my file collection at The Stardock for something called "evilstar.zip", the source code is included. A friend of mine wrote it for Version 2 Doors.

I appreciate the suggestions. At the moment, I want to focus on just addressing some critical gameplay issues and major bugs, and I intend to minimize changes to gameplay as I address these.

Since I know no other place .. maybe here is fine.

I have seen this working right in older versions and not in more current versions.
The scout or podless ship being captured.
Where the original idea was only podless ships could not be captured.
Then there was a change so that a podless unmanned ship was differant.

I think the flag was pod or not .. no reguard for manned or not.
Otherwise there would be no carbo traps allowed ... and that was a stratagy in the past.
Kinda a thing from the past like mega rob and RTR .. lets keep all of what it was in the game.

Podless ships can't be captured unless they're unmanned, all unmanned ships can be captured (why would you need an escape pod if there's no crew aboard?). I kind of prefer it that way, personally.

There are bugs forums for reporting bugs if you find any.
