OK, so I know I've probably forgotten a lot about this game having not played in 8 years but these colos are multiplying like little bunnies, even on the H's? I've been playing game I one Ice9, the newbie friendly building game.

Is this a change? A kinder gentler colo life cycle than I recall? Or is my memory just that rusty?

I recall once upon a time I figured out the colo life/death cycle as it was tied to the fig/shield prices. I've been in this game for 3 months now, I've seen the price of both figs and shields bottom out and the colos keep on multiplying.

Not that I'm complaining mind you! The more the merrier. I'm just asking. Is this a change in the game overall or is this a new sysop edit?

They're no longer tied together. Figs/shields go on a sine-wave pattern, EP has the exact formula somewhere on here. Colonists regen according to the
planet settings. In each planet under tedit there's a "habitability rating" and a "hazard rating." Growth is a percentage of current cols on planet times
the hab rating, so it's not hard to figure out if you want to. The hazard rating determines death events, with a setting from 0 to 255. The lower, the
less likely of death.

I believe in that game I have not adjusted those two settings from stock, with the exception of the custom planets...
