Say I'm invading a single shielded H..I go in the sector and get blasted for like 5700 points...the next blast may be like a 4900 or so and so on...

How can I figure out the estimated amount of ore left on the H as determined by the blasts I'm getting as the point totals go down?

I know a vet like me should not be asking a noobish question...but I rarely take part in invasions. Thanks

Grimy trader has a cannon calculator. It's really, really accurate! I got to be in a few invasions in game I, no photons so we mothed.. a lot!

And be sure to take the shields down to 5-10, then reload before you take the last shield, because then the figs come into play.

That calculater is fine, but if that player hasn't been on in a while, the atmo cannon hasn't updated since the last time someone has tried to land.

Basic math...
5700 and 4900...

1 - (4900/5700) = 14%

The cannon is set to 14%

The next is atmos or sector, gold or MBBS.

If a sector, it's the same regardless.
Blast is 4900... so (4900/.14)*3 = 105000 ore.

Check our math... 105000 ore at 14% ... 14700 ore,
at 1:3 ratio, for a blast of 4900.

As for shields, if you have the time to get it below
200 you should be photon invading, not kamikazi.
Watch for a fig dampened message when you wipe
out the shields to check for MR.

I would just download my cannon damage script from grimytrader, and it will tell you after your second hit what the next hit will be and what the sector cannon is set at. Landing and taking an atmos hit will mess up the calcs. If multiple planets hit you it will calculate the hit from each planet. As Big D said, watch out for planets where no one has landed for a long period of time because it may pack a punch.
