I think the source of the misconception might be that you are fined a percentage of the EXP you have. The more EXP you have, the more EXP you will lose. This makes it hard to stay above 9-12K EXP.

I can only relay what my experience has been. I've spent endless hours SDT'ing and there is an upper limit of experience for stealing 250 holds. I only know that my busts increase as my exp. increases. I have the best runs in the 7k - 10k range. I've gotten as high as 18k running SDT before the busts increased and knocked my exp. back down again.

I have not analyzed the exact numbers yet, but when I start getting too high, I'll jump in a junk ship and fake-bust my exp down to save the furbs.

Mega robbing your experience does not matter, high or low. That's why it's a bug. LOL

ok, this is one thing I dont understand, does there have to be a minimum amount to mega rob? Say like a port that has 800k on it can I just swipe it all or do I have to slowly pick at it?

Slowly picking at it is normal robbing based on your experience.

Here are the limits as told to me by a trusted friend.
" The actual low is 2,949,120 / .9 = 3,276,800 and high is 5,898,238 / .9 = 6,553,598."

So, the port needs to have at least 2,949,120 credits, then you divide that by .9 to get the mega rob. (port authorities never report the actual amount of credits on the port.)

The best way to get that much on a port is to upgrade a xxS port which has an MCIC of -20 to -25. It also helps if the port also sells Fuel or Organics just in case buying down 32,760 units of equipment isn't enough.

So, you need aprox. 6M to get the whole thing started, upgrading and buying down the port before you can Mega rob.

Dropping product on a mobile planet so you can take it to a buying port is also preferable. Although I've seen players move product with a L1 citadel and a t-pad.

It also helps to offer more than what the port is asking to ensure you get into the high 3 to 4 mil range.

Just thought of a good question about MegaRob,

How often do you get busted when doing this?
Is it the same as robing cash from a port normally, or less or more risky?
I can't remember! :(

Also if reading this, Im in a game stuck with +3,500 align, how can I by myself lose enough align to get evil? Its a builders game/solo so I cant pod or hit a good guys figs :(

IDK, but if the odds are the same, you are still doing it a lot less often.

I think the fastest way is attacking a blue players figs, if their alignment is high enough. Killing colos on a planet is another good way.

Or... CBY will get you to -10 alignment and 0 exp. If you are mega robbing then experience is irrelevant. Just before midnight make sure you use all your turns (do the buy downs etc), park a ship just out of fed, jump into a crap ship, and CBY.

Come back and you are now ready to roll. might have to dump another 90 alignment i think to rob. That can be done in the underground, busting some planets or blowing some ports. Not sure if dumping cols works once already evil

I wouldn't CBY in a tournament, or competitive game. Your opponent can wait for you at SOL with dockkill running!

You can still get in with terrkit though. Just make sure you have a ship ready to xport into.
