Maybe I have had too much coffee, but I was wondering what feature you would add to the game if it was still in dev.

i.e. Cloaked Photon Mines - Disables any enemy ship entering sector,

ok, crazy too-much-coffee ideas?

    level 7 cit can tow a planet
    level 8 cit can cloak planet
    class 11 port sells/buys shields
    grey align can rob/steal/warp to fed
    moons, cits possible

getting more coffee...

Photons remove X turns in limited games :)

eMissles - destroy a fig when there destroyed. Essentially same as probe but really expensive.

Level 7 planet - super expensive - implodes a warp and/or creates a new warp - do a bit a of game scaping to creating your own tunnel or make an enemies harder to defend. Maybe make a backdoor to Terra.

alternatively blow planet and destroys everythings at sector level also - all ships/players - i.e. 5mil ore.. kaboooomm

Gold Aliens that leave the figs on the planet...

These would fundamentally change the game and will cause a whole level of whinging :)

oh and the sysop tools that would allow game event push notifications to a script. So it could detect things like player enters a sector, or cap's a planet, then you could trigger something else in game. Things like, you detect player cap's a planet, make more aliens materialise or something.

at this point I still just want a stable v2 server that doesn't crash under heavy load.

No database locks that cause people to exit the game during invasions would be a hell of a feature.
