Z-Bot or Mom-Bot? Which is better

Why?

well Z-Bot works without exception , if used in its entirety ..

most if not all of mom bot extras can be added to z-bot ....

So I'de say .. get both and try them .. see which you like ...

and unlike mom-bot .. you can ask for more features and you just might get them ;)

haha thanks....

Since M()Mbot is released as an open source in uncompiled format I tend to lean that way as if I want to change something I am not stuck waiting on the author to make the changes. If you ask in this forum several script writers have and will make changes and add new scripts for anyone. This is where you make the choice 1 script writer or many if you need changes.
I am in no way bashing one vs the other since I have not used Z-Bot but if you look at the over all picture Open Source wins every time.

First look at it I'm puzzled. I will have to dig down a little deeper into it. Since I am really stupid when it comes to this kind of stuff and I ask way too many questions.. Bare with me here. Although ARCHY Nice job on writing this. it looks to be pretty bad Butt. I hope I get the full effect of this...

First thing to remember is that any script can be beat, and they must be used as intended. Closed source (which I release in most cases) are the "stock" versions that people run and they soon learn how to beat those scripts. Open source can be modified to do things slightly different and keep the opponent guessing - you can also learn a lot by seeing how someone did something - figuring out why is sometimes an adventure.

I use neither bot pack since I prefer to play on my own abilities and not what someone else has done for the most part, but that wasn't the case early on because I coudn't write scripts with my limited knowledge of the game. A very knowledgeable corpie I had wrote a couple of the scripts I use, and with the open source that he provide I have modified them to do what I want.

Try different scripts and don't limit yourself to a single script pack. Learn how to write simple quickie scripts to address a certain situation on the fly (always fun to see it succeed; pain in the butt when you get the day off).

Open source has that advantage. It also has a disadvantage:
Anyone can modify it.

That means you will have multiple versions, with no version
control or bug list. So when someone sends you a script to
fix a bug, and then later you get another copy of the script
to fix another bug, you have no idea if those two are based
on the same core version. You could end up with version
conflicts, and find yourself having to edit the source just to
merge the two.

Open source is great for coders, it's not so great for people
that don't code.
