I consider myself semi retired, but then, I've got two games

Tweety played a year or two ago, until he was impersonated by some jackass who did something I can't remember in an attempt to smear his reputation.

Adomma is playing still, he joined us more than a dozen years ago.

Afaik, Nightraven and Medusa are long retired. Tweety was our 5th member, Adomma our 6th, if memory serves.

Well, I'm working on reviving the old Boo! inc web page. I found most of it on the Wayback Machine. We'll need a permanent host for it, I'm thinking the TW museum if JP agrees.

Basically I'm re-writing the code from start to finish using HTML5, CSS3 and JS. It looks, (or should when I'm finished) exactly as it was back in 2000. I just wanted to #1 preserve a piece of TW memorabilia, and #2 practice my newly acquired skills. I've captured what I found on the Wayback machine, so we can compare my interpretation to the original. Tweety did a heck of a job! Now I truly appreciate CSS!

I wish I'd saved Gypsy's page. When I first started playing his was one of my favorite sites.

Just an FYI, Windows hosting is much more expensive than Linux hosting. You can still use HTML5, CSS3 and JS on a Linux server though.

If JP has room, I was thinking of adding it to the TW Museum. Booinc.com is no longer available, for sale for $500. The owner is using a broker so I can't see on Whois who owns it now. (T0yman perhaps?)

Or ask Eje to add it to Fament. He's still hosting mine and Guardian's pages.

The bad thing is that if someone parked a domain and disabled search engines in robot.txt, wayback machine won't show you the page, even though it probably has captures from before it was blocked.

When Tom passed I and a few others offered to renew it, but Tom's wife never got back to anyone so it is just being held by someone. Might look into booinc.us or some other besides .com ... or wait a few years and it will be available again. Sorry it wasn't me or I would gladly provide to someone that wanted to keep it running.

Yeah, I think it is BS that they buy every expiring domain and then want thousands of dollars if you want it back.

I cannot cast stones. I have Google alerts set for my business name. It's very common, and used in every state. So, one allert said a new site was launching. I clicked on the link and surprise! It was available for sale for $5! Yes.. I did it, I snatched it up! Now some poor bookkeeper in CA has to find a new domain.

Now I have a user-friendly domain to use in advertising.

Yes, but at least you are actually using the domain. These guys buy billions of domains just to resell them. You can search for any two or three words from the dictionary in any order and various punctuation, and they are all owned by these bastards.
