Need help getting back into tradewars
Hey guys, I really am lost on how to even get started again. I tried to download Swath and my norton internet security wont let me.
Is it still swath/twx combo that I should use? What are the main servers nowadays where I can find some games?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, i really miss tw and want to get back into it and actually have a few friends im going to teach but I need to figure out how to get started myself first.

Re: Need help getting back into tradewars
nevermind i figured it out!! i didn't have twx listening for port 23, so I'm all set now!!! now i just need to figure out how to load scripts and what servers are active and stuff. What are the best 2 or 3 servers to find a range of games where people actually play?

Re: Need help getting back into tradewars
If anyone can help me im trying to load worldtrade into twx to run it. the instant i load it, it fails and doesn't load. How do I in general just load all my scripts so they are there and ready when i go to load script instead of having to go search for them in a library?

Re: Need help getting back into tradewars
Hi.. didn't see a icq msg from you? try again, or give me your number
Scripts are generally kept in the TWX\Scripts folder.. how people manage their scripts is personal preference. This is what I do:
I usually load script with my script-menu thing (Lonestar Pack\Load v30.ts), or I use $SS command in twx to load world-ssm, or world-trade.. I have them precompiled and in the twx\scripts folder and renamed to: SSM, and Trade... so for example: $SS and then Trade... works.
Could can also rename some scripts numerically 1 to 9, and simply press: $ (number) ...for example: I have Traitors dock buster script renamed as 5.cts, so to load it: $ 5 <enter>
I have my Load v30.ts, in the Auto-Run TAB of the TWXPRoxy setup dialog, so that it loads everytime I startup TWX. I access the menu by pressing Shift and double tap X ...if you want to try my menu system, be sure to edit the text file: scripts\LoneStar_Pack\1_LS_Scripts.txt ...to customize as you require.

Re: Need help getting back into tradewars
Like LS said its all personal preference. I use the SWATH.CFG file to contol my twx scriipts and use the 25 letter sidebar for most favorites and some attack macros on hot keys. The following is for the SWATH.CFG file. Just remember to have SWATH closed when you are editing it. I really like it because all the scripts can stay in the main script directory viewtopic.php?f=15&t=33455
