| Post subject: | Why the V1? |
In the last few days... Ive been asked a couple of times why I started and V1 server and about the comments I made RE V2 and Tournaments. Well let me explain. I started the V1 server because mainly I could. I also like to have a 2nd TWGS for testing and also mainly for tournaments. Why For Tournaments? Well I have been running the tournaments for a number of years now and it just seams to me there are less problems when they are run on V1. "issues"(or bugs if you want to call them that) changed the course of the 2016 ice tournament. I do not want to see that happen again. This is not to say V1 doesn't have the same problems, it may very well. But I have yet to see as many. These are things I have seen for myself I am not going by anyones word about this. Also the other main reason its and i'm not bragging(too much LOL) My V2 is very popular with a very high load. with the 2nd server I can run tournaments without affecting the main server and vice versa. Don't get me wrong I love my V2 server and will always run. I much prefer V2 to V1 and as A game OP its is much much easier to run. I hope one day JP will return and put this issue the rest by working on the problems the v2 has. And I am not writing this to start a V1 VS V2 Debate either. so if thats what you want to do then save it. I just wanted to explain myself and the issue. sk |
