I've read that the best chance of destroying a specific planet by collision is when there are sector limit + 1 planets in the sector. As you add more planets, the chance of a collision increases, but the chance of colliding the planet you want decreases faster.

Just ran the haggle that comes default and it is atrocious.

For a haggle script specifically, you can find mine in this thread:

Elder Prophet: Comparing scripts from the TWX Proxy Script Pack 2 to yours there's a big discrepancy... mainly yours doesn't seem to be working for me. Did I download the wrong file?

Here is the TWX Proxy Haggle Script:

Here's what I got in your file:
<Removed by +EP+ for brevity>

Your zip file also came with a EP_haggle2013.cts file... is that the one I'm supposed to use because I can't even get TWX to recognize it nor can I open it with notepad. I'm new to all this so please let me know what I'm missing here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There's a 3rd file, readme.txt. Start with that one ;)

Unzip the files. Right-click the TWX tray icon, choose Load Script, and point it to the .cts file you just extracted. The script loads and the script menu opens. For most games, no changes are needed, and you can just press the semi-colon to close the menu. At that point, my haggle routine waits for a port to make an offer during a trade, and it takes over the haggling.

The haggle.ts file is only needed if you want my haggle to be in effect when using the Pack 2 scripts, such as 2_WorldTrade or 2_SST. You can find out how to do this from the readme.

P.S. I edited your post above to remove the long script contents. I promise you'll receive more attention to short posts vs. long scrolling posts.

I know that it should not have been a big deal, but I thought "Argh! All of this scrolling is taking forever!" :D

Thanks!

I'm an engineer, and remember one of my lecturers saying "when all else fails, read the instructions". Its kinda like the reluctance men have to ask for directions unless hopelessly lost : )
