Is there a public fix for world trade. the one that i am using is off the latest twx 2.05. I am noticing in this particular game that I am playing it likes to go around in circles after seeing a large amount of fighters. help? :)

Have not seen that problem.
grab the one in the TradeWars channel on my TeamSpeak server.. That seems to work fine.. the file is z2_worldtrade.cts.
I have made a few changes to it, mainly to stop it going through backdoors and getting stuck trying to come back.

The only time I have seen this is when you get trapped in a small area after going through a one-way warp.

Hi Archy, I have been to the Tradewars channel on your TeamSpeak server, I can't find the z2_worldtrade script there. IIRC I couldn't find any files listed for the channel. Maybe I'm doing something wrong with TeamSpeak, not that familiar with the software. Is it still there? Thanks

Your right , it seems to have been removed or moved to another directory.

It is now in the Tradewars Corps channel.

Archy, is that the same World Trade script your bot installs? I tried it and it just does a scan and stops dead

Edit : I meant tried the version of z2_worldtrade.cts that is installed when you use Zed-Pack and install Zbot. Just does a scan and sits there when I tried it.

for memory, the z2_worldtrade.cts in the z-installer is the latest.
I haven't played for a while but it was working fine last time I used it..
make sure you have a holo scanner before you start.
I cant think what else might stop it from running.. it never gave me any trouble..

I started the script in Sector 1, as you can see, and the above is what i copied out of the screen. It moved around for a little while, did a little trading, dropped a fig, and when it got to Sector 6 it froze.

OK, i was running it with the SWATH helper active, when I shut that down it worked. One thing I noticed when I was running it. It automatically gets you the best price, and you get 2 exp points each time you run it, not good for someone trying to stay fedsafe. Is there a way to keep it from getting best price, to have it haggle for best price without getting the 2 experience points like when using the EP perfect haggle? I tried running this script with EP Perfect Haggle running, it will intercept the SWATH trading but it seems to lock-up the z2worldtrade trade script running them both together, to be expected I would guess.

run the unedited version that comes with twx.

set the settings as you want them.. (no haggling)

if it gives you trouble.. swap back to the edited version... it should continue with the new settings.... I think... sorry... its been a while..

Note:
The edited version was simply meant to be runnable remotely.. (if interrupted remotely for some reason) using settings I was using at the time.. there were some other minor tweaks as I recall but the original should work just fine for what you need.

Archy, I ran the world trade using zBot and I am getting the same problem. Then, when running another command, this time the automated fig drop macro in SWATH, I got the following message from the zBot :

As you can see from that copy paste from SWATH, the ship DOES have a holo scanner on it. You can see me making a holo scan of the sector at the beginning, and it lists a holo scanner in the quickstats display from that screen cap.

You might want to check the code for worldtrade in the bot and that standalone script both, to make sure they are properly detecting holo scanner and whatever else you are requiring a ship to have from the quickstats display. Perhaps a space or character is not being stripped out of the text properly when you grab it from quickstats? That would mess up the variable I would think. Just a suggestion I thought of that might help with your debugging, if it does turn out that this is an error.

This isn't a Z-Bot script. Try shutting Z-Bot down, and run the WorldTrade from Pack 2.

Also, Make sure the lightbulb in swath is off.. Check you CN7/9 settings.

The script shouldn't be using the auto-pilot!

Micro : the script we (Archy and I) are discussing is z2_worldtrade.cts, gets installed from the ZedPack. And Z-Bot does have a world trade script, basically the same as z2_worldtrade.cts I gather, except z2_worldtrade.cts is set up as a stand-alone worldtrade script. I guess when I saw Archy telling Comet in his reply to the question about the pack 2 world trade script (assuming the world trade script Comet was talking about is the Pack 2 script) to grab a copy of his z2_worldtrade.cts script because it works, I should have split my question off into a new thread to avoid just this type of confusion, sorry about that. So, my post is about a z2_worldtrade.cts.
