Anyone else get a "SWATH EXPIRED" message when using it? Now telling me my trial is over. Eventually pops up with a "enter rego code here" box. However my code doesn't work. Two Theories: 1: Everyone's problem due to authentication servers 2: Just mine because I connect from different IPs almost daily as I use my mobile internet while on jobs. Yeah that's right, I'm a terrible person and play tradewars while at work  Hammer |

Its Website is not connecting to the Db either. I am not able to make a new connection with SWATH, but the ones I already have open are working. |

This is happening for me too today They're working on the swath.net servers currently You can still make connections to telnet servers if you force your computer to NOT resolve www.swath.net or swath.net - this will make the primary server connection fail, and the secondary server will authenticate your license and you'll be good to go You will still be in evaluation mode though, until they get the swath.net servers back online to validate actual license information If you make this change, dont forget to undo the change whenever the primary servers look like they're back online To force this on your machine, in windows you would do: start > notepad (right-click, run as administrator) then in notepad, file > open > c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\HOSTS (with no extension) edit that file in notepad and add these: 0.0.0.0 swath.net 0.0.0.0 www.swath.net save it as HOSTS (with no extension, not hosts.txt) then swath basically works fine. to undo, just delete those lines the same way you added them |

Here is reply from Stien : Hey, Yes the old server that was running the primary server died during the holidays. Macahan is working on bringing a new server up, but I don't have access to it just yet. He tried to recompile the server scripts but unfortunately something needs fixing since the server seems to make all licenses expire... Will fix this as soon as possible. //Stein |

From Stein: Hey! The primary server problem has now been solved. I had to fix some of the scripts we use on the server so they compiled correctly in the new 64-bit system. These types of issues are hard to avoid, but almost never happens. The good thing is that, when the primary server went down around the 25th of December, the secondary worked fine until we had time and resources to fix the primary server a few days ago. It was when we started the new primary server, that the scripts was not behaving correctly and that caused the already valid licenses to expire, which was unfortunate. This is now all fixed, so just connect as normal. If you have an expired license today, just use the Registration Tool to unlock your license again using your UserID and Password. Let me know if you still have any problems after trying this and I will help you out. Best regards /Stein sk |
