Post subject:  tw helpers
I use to play trade wars in the 90s I just recently came back. seen not to many new games or traders playing but my question is how do I get a tw helper I tried downloading swath but cant seem to get it to work says error was able to download attac but I paid for a registration key over a week ago but have never got a response. so what can I do? Also vidkid use to play with you all the time old handle was peacekeeper. if someone can tell me how to get swath working would get it. help please

Peacekeeper - Name rings a bell, did you play with Guardian and Barb back in the day with Dragon Elite??

Hammer here (Duh), I'm sure we played together ages ago.

Swath is still the helper to use or just a terminal like ZOC.

Then the best scripting platform is TWXproxy with a script called Mombot. Should be a heap of into in the forums here, HELIX has a sticky up top of the forum with every file/script imaginable that's out there.

Gotta run to work but let me know how you go.

Wow! Peacekeeper it's been ages! Honestly I was wondering if you were still alive. You were the age I am now when we played on Fament.

I sent a message to Eje, we'll see if that helps you getting Swath working.

Howdy Y'all:

Started working with MOMBot today and suddenly remembered a problem I had with it before. I looked in the MOMBot instructions and found this line:

SWATH users: The advanced command prompt will not work with SWATH, because the up arrow is already mapped by SWATH. Also, SWATH does not render the ANSI correctly for the history. In order to use the bot and have it display correctly, go to the preferences menu (TAB-~) and change the prompt to SWATH prompt. I suggest using ZOC or some other terminal program to get all the benefits of the bot.

None of the (TAB-...) key operations work. I tried for a good twenty minutes to find a way to get to that preferences menu but failed. How can I fix that?

I grabbed the zip file from somewhere that has every script ever written inside of it. No clue where I got it from. From there I used ZOC to setup buttons and hot keys to each individual script in TWX Proxy. I like creating and using a little of everyone's scripts as I found some are better than what comes standard in mom bot or z-bot. I found that I maintain my skills and player intelligence when I put together my scripts and I am also modifying them to do little things like pick up fighters every time I pick up fuel when colonizing. anyways welcome back deathdealer, I am Tex and my in game name is Tex or Shell Shock.
