I'm having a time getting these two mombot commands to work as I think they are supposed to. Can anyone give me a couple of syntax examples, please? Thanks, Deign |

There is a help file for each command. This is from those files supplied with mom. FIND - Search TWX-DBase for Fighter/Port data find [f/nf/fp/p/de/ufde] [type] {sector} [port type] - [type] = [de]ad-end or [f]igged or [nf] no-fig or [fp] figged port or [p]ort or [ufde] un-figged dead end - {sector} sector number that you need finder data on, default is current sector - [port type] port type (s)ell , (b)uy, or (x) either GETNEAR - Locates Nearest Cashing Ports. - getnear {product amount} {product amount} - Script defaults to value stored in game CFG file as $PORT_MAX, however you can specify a different amount. Only need to update CIM upon 1st use, then simply get port-reports manually to remove recently bought down Ports. Reads MOMBOT NEGO File and includes last known MCIC value for specific port. |

CBYnot posted a list of most command help here: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=34704 While it's all on the bot it is REALLY nice to look through that one. Also each bot function outside of the core is a 'add in'. So depending on what you have you might have different commands compared to that list. Also, sometimes when you first do >? COMMAND it will say "No help file found"; it often requires the command run once to generate the help file. So run >? command >stopall The stopall will stop the commands running, nothing worse than setting off a script just to read the help file Enjoy |

Thank you, but I've read the help files. I am trying to use it like this, expecting to get a figged SSS port, but that doesn't work (anonymized): 'bot find fp sss Message sent on sub-space channel 6789. Command [TL=00:00:00]:[111] (?=Help)? : S: - Nearest Figged XXX port(s) to 111: 456 (2 hops), 789 (3 hops), and S: 987 (4 hops) S: S: Note: 111LA, has a XXX port that's figged. S: |

Just asking .... Vid |

No, bot name is actually 'dgn' but I tried to edit out all the game specific stuff in the post. That example was copied out of a live game. Didn't want to display my home sector to the world just yet. |
