I wrote a small tool which is a proxy that proxies ssh to telnet and also translates cp437 to utf-8, allowing you to play tradewars 2002 on most modern vt100 terminals. Please check it out and tell me what you think! https://github.com/erikh/trade I'm also running a game over @ tw.hollensbe.org:2002 -- just booted! |

It appears to be written in a language I have never heard of before: What is Go? Go is expressive, concise, clean, and efficient. Its concurrency mechanisms make it easy to write programs that get the most out of multicore and networked machines, while its novel type system enables flexible and modular program construction. Go compiles quickly to machine code yet has the convenience of garbage collection and the power of run-time reflection. It's a fast, statically typed, compiled language that feels like a dynamically typed, interpreted language. erikh - Why did you choose Go? |

Go seems to be gaining a lot of support. Have seen more and more jobs looking for it. Micro wrote: It appears to be written in a language I have never heard of before: What is Go? Hey sorry for the super late replies. Go is a concurrent, garbage-collected language from google. https://golang.org -- check it out, it's pretty neat. I'm also harnessing the power of quickjs to (hopefully) provide a small programming language to run with this system, just, so many projects. |
