I have been thinking lately about creating a new game to replace Game A "Free For All". I know people don't like ship delays, and I was thinking about turning them off, and just starting up another server for people who like the ship delays on. Would say like a 5,000 sector game with 20,000 turns with some edits be a pretty standard game that people would play, or would it not be a good game? I would like some ideas on this. I am looking to attract a crowd of players... [:D]

for a 5000 sector game i think 20k turns is a little high even 5k turns would be risking it because someone if wanted could go everwhere in one sitting you might as well have unlimited turns with higher sectors in my opinion for 5000 sec games anything over 3000 turns is pushing it.

I concur with Strider on this matter. If you wan ted to turn off ship delays, you might want to not limit turns but limit time per day. That might be a better equalizer than turns.

High turns mean high liability for incoming players.

You might try and set turns to unlimited and a low time allotment per day to start and then, as the game fills, increase the time allotment till it is relatively high.
