I thought about it a bit, almost considered buying one of those ships for the heck of it.
I guess when the game gets rebanged, those extra ships will be gone. Thanks for answering my question, it is a good answer.

I did a search, found the ship and planet specs here:
http://www.eisonline.com/twforum/topic. ... C_ID=11461
Today I was upgrading ports, gridding, and did a little ptrading. Almost broke even, but PTrading is only 60% so I can't make as much as other games would. A Ringwraith ate my sheilds today, was also taking out parts of my grid. I was only able to colonize 1000 colonists, so they are regenerating, but regenerating very slowly.

spend more time colonizing, if you can, log in every couple hours to grab them.. I bet it's regenerating around 5-10k per day..
Log in just before the hour passes, every 2 or 3 hours, and grab what you can

Every 3 or 4 hours it gets about 300 to 600 colonists regenerated. Either that or someone has the same idea and is Coloniszing every few hours.
PTrading is hard because the Ports are not regenrating fast enough. Ports I upgraded and traded with yesterday are only 25% or less today. Nobody else has ported at those ports, mine was the last ship that traded with it.
Plus J-TWAT keeps messing up on the port buydown script, so I went and registered ATTAC and am waiting for my registration codes to unlock it. I have to exit the game, exit J-TWAT, reload J-TWAT and log back into the game. Annoying, very annoying.

Isn't is too soon for a Rebang, just about 20 days into the game? Consider tweaking the settings at the next Rebang, I suggest that the other players agree to the Rebang before it happens, but it is your server and you can rebang it any time you like.
I would like to hear feedback from the other players in the LotR game on here, I am sure they have found things out about the game I haven't yet.

A rebang would be good, I could start over again. Maybe this time I can grab more colonists. I just registered ATTAC, which should work better than J-TWAT has hopefully.
Thanks for running the game, it has been enjoyable so far, and I am glad you are addressing the issues in the game. The rebang can make things even better with the new settings.

I am just more used to ATTAC and got tired of the scripts breaking in the unregistered version. The Ship Explore script seems to do a good job of gridding. It it seems to remember where planets and class 0 ports are. Plus it can find dead-end tunnels up to 7 sectors deep. J-TWAT couldn't do that. Also the buydown script can buy from a port in a different sector than the one the planet is in. Good for loading up a planet for farming before the level 4 citidel is built. Plus the colonizing script can take Fuel Ore for Trans-Warp off a different planet than the one it is colonizing.
I didn't use SWATH that much, so I don't know what it can do. TWX I haven't figured out how to work yet.
ATTAC also captures messages and puts them in a different window so I don't miss them in a scrollback. Plus it shows when I picked up a Limpid mine in that status box. Plus it has another box showing all my ship and player status, exp, alignment, cargo holds, etc.

Orion, send me an email at scifiwriter@bs.hotmail.com without the bs. (anti-spam)- then I'll call you, and walk you thru setting twx up. I would not recomend runing it with attac.. but hey.. BTW, twx can find HUGE bubbles, multidoor, single door, backdoor, deadends, all good!

Email sent. Save a phone call and we can use YIM or some other program instead and IM each other. I need to reformat my system badly because the YIM audio part doesn't seem to work. I just ordered over $300 in replacement parts because my Abit VH6-II Motherboard doesn't seem to want to work with 80 or 160 gig drives from Western Digital. So I bought a new motherboard, CPU, and RAM from Newegg and will do a fresh install of XP Pro once I get the parts. Then maybe I can get the audio working in YIM and we can talk that way and save on the LD rates. No hurry in learning TWX for me, I'm playing for fun, not serious play.

TWX can be very fun expecially when you run into someone and all of a sudden they are dead because the attack script is so fast you do not even realize what is going on....or my fav i for get the attack script is on and then i run into someone and my screen goes crazy and then think to myself oh yeah my attack script...lol

Isn't part of the fun of playing tradewars winning?
It is hard to explain to someone who has never used TWX just how great it is, or how useful. But I would be willing to wager that there are no "good" current tw players who don't use twx or a similar proxy program. If you are going to spend your money on telnet clients and helpers, I can tell you the 2 most popular combos are:
1. ZOC / TWX
2. Swath / TWX
And TWX is the only one of these 3 that is free.

Until v2 came out, I didn't use twx, and I still use mainly zoc. That said, for most players, twx is better than anything else out there.
