well, are you aware that USO is being ran next month? and has had people commited to it for about a month now? it would be my guess that you will get a rather small turn out. if you set it up for like 6 weeks after USO starts (30 day game) you'd prolly get a much better turn out and a more fun game over all.
also this:

i'd say the turns are fine where they start at (1000). adding more really isn't needed IMO.
