Mix your games up a bit on low turns, medium/high turns, and unlims.  Truces are a headache, but there are people who will not play unless there is a 2-3 day truce.

You might check here.

Most of the popular edits are played to death. But generally, no one like delays whatever the edits.

Since you asked for feedback:
You've got production set at 5%  so if i buy a port down..i gotta wait for 20 days til it returns to 100%?  Someone correct me if I'm wrong..   Also, yeah, as above..you have ship movement delay at a third and a rob delay on...
Another thing, you are listed (battitude) as the only player in the only game...  scared me away even more than the delays and production rate!
Good Luck!  Glad to hear you're vegging..and not on active duty anymore, in case nobody else has: Thank you for your service!!   I'd buy ya a beer if I could, but in leiu thereof...I'll drink to you!

Ok I have tried to do better, and also added some more games with varying turn amounts, if I am still missing something big that will ruin game play, please let me know. and as of 2:25AM PST on October 25th I have re banged all games, with the new settings, and have removed myself from the game play. Hope some can enjoy a new server.

God Bless

Welcome to the relm of TWGS GameOps :-)
You'll get a lot of good advice here, but if you would like some additional 1-1 help, email me for my ICQ number and I'll be glad to assist.
Looking forward to seeing your website, I can also help you with that as well. As for your Domain Name, I would suggest you get your own primary domain. You'll appreciate it later for name recognition and ease for peeps to remember. Domains are cheep and even if your hosting at home with Dynamic IP, there are plenty of solutions to take care of that.
MTW came on-line in May and I have tried and learned many server configurations and can help in that area as well. Was tricky moving to newer servers, but easy once you have it down:-)
MTW is using Joomla for Web portal, I used to prefer doing my own designs, but it is working out well for this site.
Want more players? Make sure to list your site at thestardock.com and post your new games in Site Forums. You can post on MTW at http://mytradewars.com/index.php?option ... omlaboard& Itemid=48&func=showcat&catid=3

Welcome aboard the sysops ranks, I will get you setup for the sysop area soon as well, and if you need any help just ask any of us sysops, we will be glad to offer any help needed, and try to help you get on your game with the twgs.

I also had to veg some when I got out of the navy years ago. That is how i got involved in TW, laff.

Good luck and best wishes on the server, remember if you need help, just ask one of us, wel will help as best as we can.

Also you might want to register your game server with Stardock, I will get the url when i get home, at work at the moment. and Big D is doing a server listing, get with him as well. We are trying to get a whole server listing out to all, and he is realy working on some things that will help, and the Stardock has an engine that will visit your game server and list the games on it for all to see to play.

Welcome to the SysOp ranks. Glad to see another TW server among us, and a fellow military brethren.

If you have any questions or looking for edits, etc., please do not hesitate to ask. As Vulcan said, list your server on StarDock. The link is http://www.thestardock.com.

Best of luck.

Thank you all, I got listed on thestardock.com - (Nice Scripting on there part) now just trying to make things playable/enjoyable.   I also want to tell you all how nice and open you all have been. It is unique to post in a forum and have everyone so nice and willing to help you (at least in my experience).

I want to tell you all how happy I am that everyone seems so nice in this community. Thank You, and I am sure I will be asking for plenty of help

I'd like to say that's always true, but once in a while you need to duck for cover around here.  Can get a bit hostile.
I know you've got lots of links and helps, but I'll throw mine.  http://www.runawayproton.com has lots of help for those starting out both players, and sysops alike.
And like the others, welcome.
