Is Smack the only place a sysop can post about a duper? I put a post in Advertisement but its gone.

Currently due to the nature of a "Dupe Report" Smack is the only current appropaite place to post this.. A few reasons for that are...1. The accused almost always replies in a negative manner. 2 the Sysop is held to no Burden of proof as he is Judge Juror and Executioner and since anyone with the money for a twgs can have one . 3 The notice serves no real prupose to others other then to let us know that one of the players is accused of duping at a particualer server..

This is not to say that EIS doesn't welcome the posting of Dupers in the Smack Forum....Always good for a flame war....

If we ever implement a "Sysop only" area. I would consider and area for that type of thing..But honestly we dont get enuff of it to be a real problem.

That is kinda a bummer .. I for one will probly never see these posts.

But then again , I may be the only user here who doesn't go into Smack or Open Discussion areas .. due to the amount of junk posts that would be there.

I read only the twars stuff worth reading.
Whatever gets into smack is mostly for flaming fun.
People with little left in tradewars .. (sorry if that offends)

May I suggest a SysOp only room were posting only but not allow reply's ?

see point number 2....it doesnt take anything to post these types of accusations..Weather they or true or false thier is no burden of proof...and again to what end? You going to ban a user who dupes at a different server?? These types of announcements are mostly good for flame wars but have little value to other sysops running other systems...Also the sysop only area is under advisement...However i will probably restrict its access to sysops who post Rebangs in the EIS forums. Not just anyone who has a code....anyways I will discuss it with JP.
