How about I make a perma.
We will play unlims
I will share all my scripts with the corpies
Then 3 will dissappear and 1 will share all my scripts that are no share scripts.
OOPS already happened.
Permas bite. Even if you know the people very well, things happen and they go sour.
That is my 2 cents.

Laff. Been doing "semicorps" mostly. As for scripts, gamelock or timelock them. There's no such thing as a "don't share this script."

I disagree. there are some ppl out there that DO NOT share scripts they are given no matter what. Even if its rare. But in general if your so worried about them being spread out... Yeah! Just don't give them out or Lock them.

There are some people, like yourself, that know the meaning of "private" stuff. The problem is that most people don't have the will-power for that. If you write stuff that solves a problem in a game, then odds are that problem will come up again in another game... or atleast later on in the same game. This means the author needs to pass stuff out to his in-game corpies, and later on those corpies will be put in a situation to pass it out again. The value in coming up with anything new (script, tactic, whatever) is in the ability to apply it in a game... which inevitably leads to other people developing a counter approach and making the original script/tactic/whatever useless. So simply "not passing it out" defeats their very purpose.
Sadly game-locking or time-locking work to prevent the actual script from being passed around, but don't prevent the approach from being passed around. If it falls into the hands of another scripter they will simply write their own script the next time they need it, and the end effect remains the same. This is true of all zero-sum games and is similar to a prisoner's dilemma paradox where the only real equilibrium can be gained thru superrationality. Fortunately TW is a multi-iterative game, so situations develop naturally where the most flexible (usually scripters) have the biggest advantage.
Logically (personally) we must conclude that any one scripter cannot out-script the entire active TW community. Which means that the odds of a new tactic developing within the general community is greater than it developing within any one person (ie: myself). This means that the most rational solution to the problem isn't to withhold scripts or methods, it's to distribute them to people that have the most opportunity to improve upon them... so as to reinforce re-distribution of the new methods (ie: back to yourself). The reason why I started gamelocking or timelocking most scripts, it allows for the most natural development of new scripts by other scripters while allowing non-scripter corpies to use them in-game.
Reminds of the line from SG-1... "If you immediately know the candle light is fire then the meal was cooked long ago."

Wow all of that from one question. I was just asking about the training more than the perma corp. Wildstar its too bad you got burned before, but if you are worried about your scripts so much just dont give them out. If you have a doubt dont give it to someone to use, if you know that person really well you should have known they would do that. Some of us around here still can be trusted.
I think the training was a good idea to bad it didnt last longer. Thats my .02 cents.

Hey Sing where did you come up with the idea to come up with game-locking or time-locking scripts? From someone that give you scripts that wasn't supposed to?

From playing in a game where I didn't want people to redistribute stuff. Altho EP had an expiring version of perfect haggle well before I started using it.
