has anyone developed an edit that removes building assets from the game?
The edit would be strictly ship to ship combat in open space (no planets, no home base)... just the hunt and destroy.
Maybe 3 SD's and your out of the game.
Figs replenished from a stock lv1 fed planet, which is in a 10 sector "no attack zone"... help yourself when needed... no stockpiling.
Everyone has the same ship... offence odds ?? 3:1 ?? defence odds ?? 1:1 ??... ship figs = 100k... attack with ?? 20k ??
(2 successful strikes of 20k x 3:1 to destroy enemy ship)
Corp. members = ?? 1 ??
No Corbo... got to fire the figs to get the kill.

no pods... you are regenerated into the same ship as everyone else... with your starting 100k figs

call it: "Top Gun" edit or some such thing

you have some good game ideas. If I am correct if you game-op a game you can select what kind of ship people start in etc etc etc. Maybe you should find someone to let you make your own edit on one of their servers. Almost sure that would help with some of the questions you have for others. Hands on is the best way to learn...
