Ok, It's 'update the old fart' time. What's a TWA file?

Files with the TWA extension are Game Edits. Custimizations that people create (like SubZero, Pirates, Moo2, etc), and Export from their respective TWGS game editor for others to share.

If I'm not mistaken, the file includes details like: Universe architecture; player start-up conditions; and a few pre-set game dynamics: Planet/Ship customizations; Item Costs; Economy, etc.

It also includes the game map, so you usually want to rebang with a different random seed.

I can't get the script to run. It goes into the sector editor, and then it enters the sector number, but it exits the sector editor before sending "Z". This goes into the new timing menu instead of the nebulae name.

I think the script is sending an extra <CR> after the sector number, which exits the sector editor.

Yikes.. scripting for TEdit is a nightmare. I don't remember who wrote this startup script (maybe Vid Kid?), but I'm amazed it ever worked in the first place.. ..I'll be even more amazed if it works now.. hehe. I had to create a routine to handle that annoying 'auto-complete', and added a few more waitfor's.. etc.

If this doesn't work, then deep-six it.. I don't think I ever want to work on a TEDIT script again.. lol

Fingers Crossed :)

IF it does not work .. let me know .. I've done enough updating .. I've got the routeen for the fixes ..

I believe the script was used to rename all class 0 & 9's to something game related.

Tedit has some quarks but easy enough to fix with a few getlength commands.

I don't think I was the one who wrote it .. but I may have mod'd it a bit for some reason .. it was so long ago.
