Post subject:  Alien Retribution & Star Control II
I was looking at the aliens in these two edits and I noticed that many files are missing:

Alien Retribution
Alien1.NAM
Alienship.NAM
ALN3.ANS
ALN3.TXT
FERRENGI.RNK

...and all the files referencing all the custom alien races.

How do I create a *true* Alien Retribution experience?

Those are Alien name and rank files as well as ansi files for your aliens they are in the gold dir. you can create them for each of your races. there are also examples in the gold dir. of those files.

I have a couple of folders named "Gold" in my EIS folder. None of those files are located anywhere in my EIS folder (not just the Gold folders, but ANY of the folders in EIS.)

Does anyone have these files?

The Files you are looking for have to be created by the person who writes the edit. and those files a placed in the twgs\game\gold folder. also each game letter has its own gold folder.

each file type has its own meaning and can be assigned to each race.

.NAM =Alien Name File. For Names of individual Alien names and ship.
.RNK = Alien Race Ranks



Heres what my gold dir looks like

I wrote most of those myself. there are a few that are already in that gold folder. such as the .nam and rnk. files for the ferrengi and the good and evil rank files.

But i know of none for the Alien Retribution edit. and it doesnt look like any come with its .twa file.
