An unknown emission from the alien ship...
...is blocking the transportation.
I created a large number of high-powered ships protected by fighters and planets to be captured. A user reportedly captured one and towed it back to their home sector. They state that they recieve this message when attempting to transport onboard.
Did I miss a setting somewhere when creating either the class of ships or the ships themselves? And can I fix it without a rebang?
Thanks in advance!

In the ship editor check the "functional" setting under the misc tab. Set it to yes if you want the players to be able to use it. At least I think that is the correct setting - been a while.

Re: An unknown emission from the alien ship...
One thing the players may have to do - don't know for certain - is to view the ship catalog to get the settings to actually implement. I ran into this issue with a truce game that automatically setup the ships by script in T-Edit at midnght when the truce ended - players did not see the changes until after viewing the ship catalog.

These ships do not show up in the ship catalog because they cannot be purchased... only captured.

The ship will be in the t-edit ship editor even if it's an alien ship. All ships are there.
As prome set, check the "functional" setting.

True, but in the truce game I found that the ship data files would not update until a player checked the ship catalog. Since I didn't have aliens with the same settings, I don't know if the alien ship records will update w/o the viewing of the standard (buyable) ships. Basically a shot in the dark if their settings don't update to correct the problem w/o a rebang.
