Exactly what do these settings represent? What is the formula for population growth/loss? |

Players who have figured it out might tell you, but I don't make such formulas known. It has to do with how volatile your colonist population is and how it changes with population level. |

Okay. If I figure it out, I'll keep it a secret. What about the planet subtypes? Do they actually do anything, or are they just cosmetic? |

They represent various characteristics of a planet. Any part of the game in which the planet class is used, these sub-characteristics are taken into account. I can't really be more specific than that ;) They do matter. |
