I banged an experimental game with 100 sectors and 100% Ferrengi Regeneration Percentage (General Editor G, option G.) I reasoned that 100 sectors would magnify the impact of this setting.

Five days later, the Ferrengi Regeneration Percentage says:
"100% of max 250 = 250."

What does that mean? Their home sector has a little bit over the starting value of 8000 figs and there is an Assault Trader with 300 figs there, too. That's the first Ferrengi I've seen in the game, btw.

What does the "Ferrengi Regeneration Percentage" do, exactly?

Ok, I think I'm already starting to understand this setting.

It controls the number of figs per Ferrengi ship.

Today, my game is seven days old. The "Ferrengi Regeneration Percentage" puts the max at 350.

There are only two Ferrengi active in the game. Both are in Assault Traders and both have approx 350 figs on their ships.

Tomorrow, I expect a max of 400 and to see a max of 400 figs per ship.

Day 17 and General Editor G says "100% of max of 850 = 850."

My teammate has been tearing the Ferrengi apart, so it's kind of hard to get accurate numbers! :lol:

However, there are two active Internal Ferrengi: #2 and #5. The rest are uninitialized. I assume this means they're dead. Ferrengi #2 has 820 figs in an Assault Trader. #5 has less than 40 figs, so I assume he just spawned recently.

Hmm... Does a respawning Ferrengi receive an upgraded ship when the General Editor G says something greater than "100% of max 3000 = 3000?" That's the maximum number of figs for an Assault Trader.

Classic Ferrengi DO NOT have an "Alien Server Offline Mode." If the players do not log into the game, the Ferrengi don't do anything.

Edit:
Day 24 Ferrengi Regeneration Percentage says
"100% of max 1200 = 1200."
