I was thinking it might be fun to have a single-ship game.

But then I couldn't delete the 'stock' ships or deactivate them! It told me "You can't delete a standard class ship" and the 'ship is active' flag can't be changed, even with the server offline.

I guess i could go through and make them have all the same stats to effect this kind of game.

Same thing with planets too... can't delete the stock ones and can't disable them.

You need a starter, a pod and a restarter (ie: scout).

You can duplicate the stats on the starter and restarter, then set the starter to manual deployment. Then go thru the rest of the ship list and set the others to manual deployment too. You won't be able to purchase manual deployment ships at dock, and since the starter and the restarter would be the same... it would appear as tho only 2 ship classes existed, the main ship and the pod.

I've done exactly this on my slow hand edit to bypass the forced ship count.

On planets there's no "manual deployment" thing, but you can duplicate classes. Like if you want 2 planet types, have 4 of one and 3 of another. Junky hack tho.
