Bubble Sizes
If I set to have Bubbles the minimum for a 30K universe I can select is 100. Is there a reason that it can't be lowered for building games to set a bunch of 15+ size instead of 100. Just wondering because 100 is pretty good size to have single base in and does not force people to have multiple bases. So they basically build up one bubble and they end up only protecting 1 sector to hide behind. If they can make a 3 or more gated 100 then they have to protect multiple gates so that would be on them to find/defend.
So the question is can it be changed? What would it take to change this setting? Plus would others like to see this change implemented? I added a poll with a few options but feel free to post what you would like to see.

Re: Bubble Sizes
The bubble size has always been a minimum 100 setting, I have seen games that get some random bubbles under 100. I guess the 100 has been a known bug but it is not anything new. But those are usually in the 8 ~ 18 range. I would like to be able to create 100 20 ~ 30 size bubbles.

Yeah, this was pretty buggy. Should be fixed for the next release. Which will be out as soon as I finish rebuilding the machine where my distribution is built, which literally blew up the other day. I don't think it was caused by TWGS, MB ;) Power supply reached its MTBF, I guess.

Re: Bubble Sizes
Yup. Vid claims the pings at Vid's World are so bad because he is in Guam... but we all know the real reason.

Re: Bubble Sizes
My ping seems to have improved since the island got fiber optic cable recently.
Come try your speed @ Vids World .. the fastest server in the Pacific .
My players claim that they are faster here then they are on most 2.10 servers.
Please come test this , I now get better ping in stateside games as well. I'm hoping its cause of the fiber cable and not just the differences in the server versions. So I need people to test and tell me.
Thanks in advance

(and no server is faster than mine. Backbone connected) I had no problem connecting at 4:30 pm EST today. It must be that backbone connection of yours.

Re: Bubble Sizes
Average ping to teleguam.net is running an average of 173 ms for me. Logged in and played. Worked pretty well. Seems stable

Re: Bubble Sizes
All right, back on topic! *cracks the whip* I think bubble sizes should be something that the gameop can configure. I personally love 300+ sector bubbles. In a building game, I can farm planets to my heart's content. Now to the poor guy who keeps reporting everyone's posts- I don't sit on this forum after work, and if you aren't patient, I suggest you try to steer the conversation back on topic instead of reporting posts and begging me to lock the topic. I don't mind threads going off topic- I don't expect vid to make a new thread announcing to the world that Guam is now on fiber optic. Hopefully the new speeds will keep it from tipping over and capsizing ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1WSs9B4H5s) Check out some of the other threads- they go from topic to topic as needed. I don't feel comfortable telling people to shut up if they are carrying on a civil conversation.
