I have my quickfot available for download if you want to look at it. Remember, most people here operate with CN2 off. Linky: http://www.navhaz.com/forums/downloads/ ... k_foton.tsAt it's core... Code: send " p " & $adj_fig & " * y c p y " & $hit_sec & "* * q p " & $return_sector & " * y "
See how that works? You hit a sector, it pulls the adjacent figged sector from the database, pwarps, fires, and returns all in one burst. This explains so much! No wonder I thought it was a ship, #1 because it moved so fast and #2 I never saw the planet, most times I was hit by AFK p-torp. I don’t run scripts, so no saveme... I just sat there wondering why no one killed me as I waited for the top of the hour. CN2 – I had to look at it, I’ve forgotten the menu commands. The animation display, ok that makes even more sense, that’s why I thought there was a planet delay already, and there is “IF” the animation display is on. It’s pitiful how much of this stuff I’ve forgotten or never knew about before. 8 years is a long time to be away from this game.

Actually if you'll notice in Sing's macro, there are spaces. When you add spaces between the commands, it aborts display and makes the script even faster. Just as if you had cn9 set to "all keys". You also posted in an earlier thread that you'd like to slow the game down. Actually I'm making suggestions for options to accomplish exactly that. However, I also think you should leave that up to the sysops to decide what style of game they want to provide. Personally I think it's best if you leave the current options alone and add a few options for sysops to be able to furnish the type game you are looking for, but still provide the type games the veteran players and scripters want also. I think a planet delay "option" would do just that. Let the sysop configure it to his liking tho. Maybe set an option like this (0 ms delay to 500 ms delay).

Of course it’s going to be an option, and just because it’s available does not mean anyone’s going to use it. There’s at least one sysop here who caters to newbies. If this takes off like I expect it to, and some of the old Elite players come back and populate games like we once enjoyed, then maybe more sysops will vie for the traffic. You guys need more players, both old returning and brand new blood. Can’t you see I’m only trying to help everyone here?

Thanks booger, I think it was Ice-9 and I did use that for quite some time in the builder game, until my wrist started to ache from all the typing. Then I got Zoc and wrote a few scripts for hauling stuff, buying stuff and grabbing colos. I'm NOT totally against scripting, there are too many repetitive tasks to play without some sort of helper. Good idea though! Thanks!
