Truce games should be self regulating.
If truces need "enforcement" then he needs a proper truce edit and server script to deal with it.

I agree with Thrawn. The Suggestion is a good one depending on it what it records and sends. Good suggestion Stone.

Any proper truce TWA can do this today.

Problem is this...

Some times you want big planets that will be shielded by the
time truce is over to make builders happy. But... if you do that,
it means your planets will be mobile before then, and that means
ppl can pdrop. You could try to squeeze in the upgrades at
exactly truce end, set to 0 day, but that screws up ppl that get
in late... which is one of the reasons why ppl like truces.

It's possible in a turns game where ppl are less concerned about
that particular issue, but in an unlim truce game there are some
issues w/ an edit-only truce.

really think those that run truce games with full battle edits "enjoy" the drama.

Probably so. You can do RR's truce ship approach for a lot of it,
but there's some things you can't solve that way.

Ok, guessing someone needs to break down the "why" of the need if this is not a truce game. What is the value? Why add more code to a program that possibly introduces bugs, and takes game developer time and effort if there is not a true return of value? Does it somehow improve gameplay? As I somewhat implied earlier - are you treating something that should be prevented in the first place?

Examples of the below and the rationale that is used for the request would be nice.

Planet Landing on planet # ___
Planet Claim on planet # ____
Sector Entry sector # ___
Ship claimed, derilect #1-?
Pmissle Launch time sector

There are no derelict ships. So that doesn't need to be there.

Sector entry would be very floody. Planet landing too.

Nothing to do with a truce game or any specific game a simple custom configured SYSOP OPTION to use thats all.

Seeing as my replies are being CENSORED I will qoute my reply to what was moved to another area.

Why has the CENSOR BOARD MOVED MY POST yet again to smack talk.
leve the other 2 peeps posts in the BETA discussion and move my reply here.
Rearanged the post order, deleted messages... this is pethetic.
No use in makeing public comments or Beta related comments to assist JP in beta testing as they will just be censored.

Isn't the underlying idea behind bbs's and forums, "a place for fun, free thought and speech"

@ Stoneslinger,

Please keep the debating with others in the proper forum, i.e. Smack Talk. If you post comments that initiate debate, then expect your posts to be moved to the appropriate forum area.

Thank you.
