Timeout during CIM
In the current beta on classic I can't do a port CIM w/o it timing out and relogging half-way. The actual timeout values in tedit are set pretty high, so I don't think that's the problem. Prolly should look into that, see if it's on the TWGS side of things.

Re: Timeout during CIM
Are you sure it's timing out and not crashing? Do you get a message saying it timed out?
Is it dropping you all the way out of TWGS or to the TWGS menu?

Re: Timeout during CIM
I don't get any message. It just disconnects.
Sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesn't. Seems to happen about half of the time. It's disconnecting me completely, and my reconnect script relogs.

Re: Timeout during CIM
Are you sitting idle when it happens, are are you issuing commands?

Re: Timeout during CIM
It's during a CIM. So... I issued a ^IQ or ^RQ or ^IRQ atleast.
Usually I hit some commands first. A fig refresh, sector display, etc.

Re: Timeout during CIM
Would you say it's obvious that this problem occurred after a particular update? Has it only happened since this morning?

That said, during HHT we had a problem with timing out on a large fig refresh. Not sure if that's related, but the actual timeout was set pretty high so I don't think that was it.

Re: Timeout during CIM
Yea I know but I am having ISP issues and they are disconnecting me randomly trying to find the issue. This may happen for a while longer and I don't believe it has anything to do with the the TWGS software. I will let everyone know in the game once it clears up. I apologise for the drops but they are working on the issue as fast as they can.

Re: Timeout during CIM
I haven't seen any evidence of this happening on classictw.com since I posted the latest version. I didn't do anything to fix it, just to diagnose it, but if I don't see any indications that the problem is continuing, I'm going to set this aside for now.

I haven't on the latest version.

Re: Timeout during CIM
Ok. I still time out sometimes, but not as often.

Re: Timeout during CIM
How many times did this happen? I have one TWGS close event, and it was for a TWGS menu timeout. That was under the login of .. at 4:38 pm server time. Was that you?
If you got booted more than once, then it's not being done by a normal TWGS close event.

The relog happened in game S at 4:45pm eastern time. That would be 4:45pm game time, too. So the timeout would've occurred maybe a minute before that. Edit: ".." was Dupe 1, where I tested the planet landing cannon pod bug thing. It's unrelated to this.
