Ver# 3.20 Gold running under TWGS v2.

We warped a planet to a new sector I scanned from cit , even holo'd from Command prompt.

Then we moved planet to our base , jumped off and did a holo

the warps showed that we were at base , but the holo showed the adjacents to the last sector we were in.

Has anyone else seen that ?

This sounds like something that could be reproduced. Have you been able to duplicate the bug by taking the same actions? If so, can you give me a detailed list of the actions so I can reproduce it locally?

1) Then we moved planet to our base , jumped off and did a holo

the warps showed that we were at base

to begin : lift off planet , holo and land , move planet ...and follow 1) .

its that simple.

Hopefully it is simple. I'll give it a try as soon as I can.

Does this bug occur for the player who is moving the planet, or does it happen for a player who is riding the planet while another player moves it? This is important because it could be an issue with the message system sending notification of updates, so the player who is riding the planet might not be getting the notification that his sector changed and he's not updating his data to reflect the new sector.

That's good news. Because I do see a situation where players are losing the ability to send or receive events to other players, and that would certainly result in the situation you're describing. It's actually the same bug that is causing some servers to stop running games over time, having to do with Delphi changing a window's handle. I've fixed it so the handle will never change, and hopefully that will fix both of these problems.
